Pocatello Community Recreation Center closed through June 2 for renovations

POCATELLO — The popular Community Recreation Center, located at 144 Wilson Ave., that provides area residents with fun summer swimming, gym space, relaxing steam rooms and more will be closed while undergoing renovations for its remodel.

The rec center received a $1.3 million donation earlier this year from Portneuf Health Trust and Healthy City USA for expansion and remodeling. The facility will be closed from May 20 through June 2 as cleaning and renovations continue.

All areas of the facility are temporality closed and all classes at the site cancelled. Normally, standard maintenance takes place during the fall, but this current closure will replace the annual fall closure.
