Police say around 11:30 Monday morning, a man walked into the bank, passed a note to a teller and then fled on foot, with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.

The FBI and the Maui Police Department are advising the public to be vigilant after several improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were discovered. Officials began their investigation after an explosion on Old Haleakala Highway on August 8 destroyed an SUV, sending the driver to hospital. Investigators recovered an IED from a nearby trash can and said it was responsible for the blast.

(Waukee, IA) -- The Waukee Police Department is identifying the victim of a drowning on Thursday of last week. Police say the victim has been identified as 31 year-old Keith Bychinski of Earlham. Investigators say Bychinski went into a pond on Thursday, August 8th to help some children nearby retrieve a fishing pole they'd lost in the water. He then started calling for help, and the children called 9-1-1.
