Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Faith Dillon is a 22-year-old taekwondo athlete set to represent the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Standing at 5'9", Dillon's journey to the Olympics is a testament to her determination and resilience .

Dillon's interest in taekwondo began at a young age when she expressed a desire to be like Jackie Chan after watching one of his cartoons. Her father took her words to heart and enrolled her in a taekwondo class. From then on, Dillon's passion for the sport only grew. Despite also participating in swimming, soccer, and basketball, taekwondo was the one sport that truly resonated with her.

In an interview with Team USA , Dillon described taekwondo as a test of adaptability under pressure, stating, "It’s not so much of a fight for me as it is problem-solving in the moment."

Dillon's dedication to the sport is evident in her rigorous training schedule, which often involves multiple sessions a day, five days a week. At age 17, she moved out of her parents' house to fully commit to her training, a decision that she believes has significantly contributed to her growth as a person and an athlete.

Dillon's hard work paid off when she earned her first Olympic berth in April 2024. She will compete in the 57 kg category at the Paris Olympics. Despite the pressure, Dillon remains optimistic and confident, stating, "I am an Olympic gold medalist. Let’s put it that way."
