WATCH: Nipsey Hussle's Brother Recalls Late Rapper's Final Moments

Samiel Asghedom, also known as "Blacc Sam," has opened up about the moments leading up to his brother Nipsey Hussle's death.

Asghedom sat down with Big Boy for his new series "Off The Air," which dropped on Friday, August 9. He began by discussing how he grew up with Nip and his two parents in Los Angeles. He recalled childhood memories and even described how the Crenshaw rapper started his journey in the music industry. Toward the end of the episode, Asghedom told his side of the story about what happened on the day Nipsey was shot and killed in front of "The Marathon Store."

“From my understanding, a boy walked up with no shirt on first to check the scene 'cause he knows what’s going on in that parking lot,” he said at the 1:19 mark. “Had a conversation and probably seen no one was in the doorway. Checked Hussle had on shorts, checked everybody else, left. They say he came back with a red shirt on. Tip-toed through the alley, and went right and started shooting.”

Asghedom said he was taking a nap at his grandmother's home six blocks away when he got the call that Nip was shot. He remembered hopping in the car and running every stop sign to see his brother during his final moments. He said Nipsey was still breathing when he arrived. Based on what he was told about the situation, Sam thinks the shooting was intentional.

“To me, that’s premeditated," he continued. "Number one, there’s no red shirts in the hood. You can’t buy no red shirt … Number two, when a n***a come through an alley with the red shirt, that’s a throw-off, or the Bloods did it."

“I felt he was supposed to do a job or somebody sent him and he was nervous," he added. "He was supposed to hit that alley with that red shirt immediately. He didn’t do that.”

The shooter, Eric Holder, was arrested several days after the shooting and was formally charged over a month later. He was convicted of first-degree murder in 2022 and sentenced to 60 years in prison.
