Alcohol Banned at These Lake Tahoe Hotspots During Fourth of July Weekend
Planning to celebrate the Fourth of July with a beer on the beach at Lake Tahoe? Be prepared for some restrictions. Alcohol is banned at three of Lake Tahoe’s most popular beaches for the holiday. Officials have prohibited alcohol at Nevada Beach and Zephyr Cove Resort on July Fourth. Additionally, public consumption is banned at Chambers Landing in Tahoma for the entire holiday weekend, from July 3-7.
JP appointment, airport plans, jail report head to supes
Convening 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the community center due to the Fourth of July holiday, the Carson City Board of Supervisors will consider a temporary appointment to Justice and Municipal Court Department 2 and review capital plans for the Carson City Airport as well as the biannual report on the Carson City Jail.

Slew of Fourth of July events being held in northern Nevada this week

In Ely, the Red, White Pine, and Blue Independence Day Festival is being held from July 3 to July 6. The festival will feature art shows, scavenger hunts, a downtown parade, free breakfasts and more.
