A historic run for Wellsville 10u Little League team results in District 2 title; story and photos
On June 23 at 2 p.m., the first game of the 10u Little League All-Star bracket took place as LeRoy downed Wellsville, 7-4. That dropped the Wellsville team into the consolation bracket and the team would not only have to fight all the way back, but even if they were to win, they would go against the champions from the Cattaraugus County bracket with a loss.

One Dead, One Injured after ATV Accident in Alma
An ATV accident in Alma left one person dead and another injured Thursday night, according to New York State Police. According to police, 26-year-old Jesse Bestine and 25-year-old Zachary Barnett, both of Wellsville, were traveling east on County Road 38 the night of July 4, when they swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle, causing the ATV to overturn several times.
