Youth Volunteers assist children of all ages with crafts and activities. Several weeks ago, attendees painted rocks to place around Alfred. Hornell Man Is Charged, After Alleged Theft In South Corning
Steuben County Sheriff reports that 23 year old Richard Snyder of Madison Avenue, Hornell, is charged with 2nd degree grand larceny. The sheriff says a $77,000 excavator was stolen from Great American Excavators in South Corning and that Snyder is the suspect. Snyder was arraigned and released.

Police reports 7/13/24
Thursday, 7 p.m., Dennis P. Kranock, 43, of Franklinville, was charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony; second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree criminal trespass, class A misdemeanors. The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Cuba Police Department. Kranock was transported to Allegiant County Jail and held pending further court proceedings.

Eugene L. Hackett, 82, of Tioga, suffered a suspected minor injury in a two-vehicle crash on Arnot Road, Bloss Township July 6. Hackett was traveling south in a 2010 Mercury Mountaineer when he hit a legally parked 2004 Ford F-250 Supercab in the area of 2062 Arnot Road. He was wearing a seat belt. The parked truck was unoccupied.
