If you needed more proof that Anthony Richardson’s shoulder was in good shape, well, here you go.

Richardson’s agent, Deiric Jackson, posted a video on his X account late last week, showcasing Richardson throwing down a dunk and going through throwing drills on the practice field.

Richardson would leave the Colts’ second minicamp practice early and then sit out the third practice to give his throwing shoulder a rest.

Understandably so, there may have been some concern from the Colts’ fan base, but immediately following that Thursday practice, both Richardson and Shane Steichen made it clear that there was nothing to be concerned about.

“Nothing to worry about,” said Richardson after that practice. “Dealt with this before. Normally, I just ice up and go back at it again, but they said there’s no need to try to rush out there for the last day; we got the season coming up.”

Steichen would add that if the Colts had a game on that Sunday, Richardson would have been practicing.

If more reassurance was needed, GM Chris Ballard recently made an appearance on the GM Re-Shuffle podcast and echoed the same sentiments, adding that Richardson would be a “full-go” for training camp.

“He’ll be full-go,” said Ballard. “He was full-go all the way up until the last day of OTAs, and we had two heavy throwing sessions the two days before, and so we backed off a little on the last day.”

Following the Colts’ first OTA practice, Richardson said that there were good days when he woke up, and his shoulder felt amazing, and then there were days when he’d wake up and his shoulder was a “little achy.”

That missed minicamp practice was nothing more than the latter, and Richardson was even a bit surprised he didn’t experience a day like that sooner.

“We’re actually surprised there’s only been one day like this,” Richardson added. “Everything’s been smooth sailing so far, and luckily it was the last day, so we’re not too worried about it.”

In addition to Richardson working out on his own during this time-off, he and the wide receivers will get together for what he called a “second minicamp,” helping them all find their groove heading into training camp.
