Tony Bollier is coming back to Indiana.

The Leo native will join Thad Matta and the Butler men's basketball team in the newly created position of general manager/director of player development. Bollier spent the last seven seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks organization.

“Tony’s experience evaluating and developing talent in the NBA, G League and college basketball make him a great addition to our staff,” said Matta in a news release. “He has impacted both winning and positive culture at the highest levels of basketball, and I’m confident he’ll do the same here at Butler. We’re excited to bring Tony and his family back to Indiana.”

In 2017, Bollier joined the Bucks as the director of basketball operations. For two seasons, Bollier also served as general manager for the Bucks' G League team, the Wisconsin Herd. For the 2023-24 season, Bollier was an assistant coach with the Herd.

Bollier was also the director of basketball operations for Georgia State and was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Wheaton College, from 2012 to 2014.

While in college, Bollier was team captain in his senior season and was a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin All-Conference honoree. He finished his career as the all-time free throw percentage recorder holder at Wheaton.

Bollier played for his father, Phil, at Leo High School.
