    Get to know Joey Elliott

Elliott has served as a Pro Scout for the Colts since May 2016, before this promotion. Before his time with the Colts, he was the founder and CEO of the Elliott Quarterback Academy in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The NFL isn't his first stint as a pro scout with him spending a year with the Ottawa RedBlacks of the CFL in the same role. Before scouting pro players, he was one himself. He had a four-year career in the CFL as a QB for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, BC Lions Football Club, and the Ottawa Redblacks.

He played four years of college football at Purdue University where he appeared in 22 games and spent one season as the school's starting QB as a senior in 2009. That year he threw for 3,026 yards and 22 touchdowns and led his team to a 5-7 record. He graduated from Purdue in 2009 with an organizational leadership and supervision degree.
