Caitlin Clark Breaks Unfortunate WNBA Record In Fever's Big Win Over Lynx

The Indiana Fever picked up an 81-74 victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday afternoon, and once again, Caitlin Clark played a big role in the win, chipping in 17 points and six assists.

It wasn't all great for Clark, though, as she struggled with her shot for much of the game (5/17 FGM) and committed six turnovers along the way.

The latter stat led to Clark making an unfortunate bit of history in the process. Despite there still being 15 games left in the season, Clark has already broken the WNBA single-season turnover record.

Clark has turned the ball over 139 times through 25 games, which comes out to an ugly average over 5.6 per game.

The previous record was 137 turnovers, which was set by Alyssa Thomas last year. Given that Clark still has 15 games left to play in this season, though, it's safe to say she's going to put some distance between herself and Thomas by the time the campaign comes to a close.

Clark has done a lot of great things as a rookie with the Fever, but it's clear one thing she is going to have to work on cleaning up her turnovers as she continues forward in her WNBA career.
