FISHERS, Ind. — A new multi-purpose venue that officials say is the largest mid-size event center in the Indianapolis region is expected to open in Fishers later this year with live music from red dirt country legends Turnpike Troubadours, as well as live comedy and wrestling.

The Fishers Event Center announced the first wave of events at the venue when it opens in November. The venue will seat 7,500 people.

The venue is expected to host concerts, entertainment acts and sports events, while also being a local community venue for local athletics and graduation ceremonies.

“We’re really trying to have something for everything out of the gate,” said Mitch List, the venue’s general manager. “And as the venue progresses over time, having all the different genres of music, comedy, family shows, wrestling.”

Some of the events that the venue announced are coming to the Fishers Event Center in late November and early December include:

    • Turnpike Troubadours with Trampled by Turtles and Tyler Halverson on Nov. 22
      • Formed in eastern Oklahoma in 2005, the Turnpike Troubadours have become one of the go-to red dirt country acts. Featuring frontman Evan Felker, the band’s 2015 and 2017 albums ranked in the top five of the U.S. country, folk, rock and indie charts. The band announced an indefinite hiatus in 2019 but returned to the road in 2022 with a number of sold out shows and appearances at Bonnaroo and at Red Rocks. Tickets for this show go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.
    • Leanne Morgan on Nov. 30
      • Leanne Morgan will bring her national headlining tour “Just Getting Started!” to the Fishers Event Center, coming after her critically acclaimed Netflix special “I’m Every Woman.” Morgan has sold out more than 100 theater and arena shows in the United States. Tickets for this show go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.
    • AEW on Dec. 4
      • Two of All Elite Wrestling’s professional wrestling shows, “AEW: Dynamite” and “AEW: Rampage” will be featured at the Fishers Event Center in early December. The shows will include headliners like Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, Adam Copeland and many more. Tickets for this show will go on sale soon.
What concerts are happening in the Indianapolis area?

The Fishers Event Center will also be the home of the Indy Fuel Hockey Club of the ECHL, the Indy Ignite of the Professional Volleyball Federation and the Fishers Freight of the Indoor Football League.

“We’ll do more than 125 events in year one,” List said. “If you look at just the three sports teams themselves that’s nearly 60 events.”

Just two days after All Elite Wrestling wraps up, the Indy Fuel will begin their new season in their new home.

“It’s meant to be a very versatile building to change from hockey on a Friday, to go to volleyball on Saturday, to a concert on Sunday,” List said.

The Fishers Freight will start their inaugural season in the Indoor Football League in March. Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness said there’s been a lot of excitement for the group.

“I think they have over a thousand season ticket holders already,” Fadness said.

Fadness is also excited to add another professional women’s sport to Fishers in the Indy Ignite.

“That woman’s sport is on fire,” Fadness said. “We’re excited for their vision, for what they’re going to create and the talent they’re going to bring to the arena.”

Fadness said the eventual entertainment district that will surround the arena will help make it world-class.

“It’s not just going to a concert,” Fadness said. “It’s parking your car and getting kind of lost, if you will, in the amenities that we’re going to have in that area.”

He expects more than a dozen new restaurants, hotels, office space and housing developments in the new Fishers District.

“A lot of that will come in in the next year, two years, three years,” Fadness said. “But you’re talking about nearly a billion dollars in additional private development around there.”

So far, popular pickleball restaurant Chicken N Pickle has announced its first Indiana restaurant will be near the Fishers Event Center.

Fadness sees the Fishers District with the Fishers Event Center as a huge step toward the city becoming more well-rounded and attracting regional attention.

“I think genuinely this becomes the epicenter for activity and vibrancy, not only in Fishers, but in the northeast side of our region,” Fadness said.

According to the release, the venue will have a cashless parking system and around 2,000 parking spaces adjacent to the venue. The Fishers Event Center also has premier amenities, as well as gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options available.

“We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to build an unmatched venue that brings top-level talent to one of the most dynamic parts of our community,” said Fadness. “These opening events at the Fishers Event Center will mark an incredible milestone for our city and there’s even more to come.”

Officials said that more events will be announced soon. For more information, visit the venue’s website .
