Turnpike Troubadours To Play First Ever Concert At Brand New Fishers Event Center In Indianapolis

If there's a better way to christen a new event center I sure can't think of one. Over the last decade or so, Indianapolis has been building itself up into a destination city, which is a bit strange on the surface, but nearly $2 billion dollars has been poured into a number of tourism-related projects, including a new convention center campus, hotels, museums, walking trails, and commercial revamps in addition to the sports franchises already located downtown. But another venue that's been in the works is the Fishers Event Center, the largest mid-sized event center in the region, and just today they announced the initial performance lineup for the grand opening in November. None other than the Turnpike Troubadours will grace the stage for the 7,500 seat venue's first ever concert on November 22nd with support from Tramples By Turtles and Tyler Halverson. https://www.instagram.com/p/C9cOw4bu63j/?img_index=2 Comedian Leanne Morgan and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) have also been announced in the initial line up. The arena will also be home to the Indy Fuel Hockey Club of the ECHL, the Indy Ignite of the Professional Volleyball Federation, and the Fishers Freight of the Indoor Football League, though general manager is excited to bring a wide array of performances to the area: "We are thrilled to be bringing this to life. We are joining the ranks of the amazing entertainment options in this market with something different to offer, having a unique opportunity to bring in great shows that are selling out arenas elsewhere in the country. Honestly, there's no better way to open an arena than to have Turnpike take the stage and if this doesn't prove that real country music is loved country wide, even in Indianapolis, Indiana, than I don't know what will.
