Caitlin Clark will be in the Brickyard 400.

Not her, exactly. But a photo of her shooting while in an Iowa uniform is featured on the hood of Josh Berry’s No. 4 car for Stewart-Haas Racing at the Brickyard 400 this weekend in Indianapolis.

The race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is on Sunday, July 21 at 2:30 p.m. ET and will air on NBC.

This is part of Clark’s deal with Panini that she signed last year, during her final year of college basketball. And it was done to highlight Panini’s Caitlin Clark Collection — which launched in Target less than two weeks ago.

“When we started working on the relationship way back last fall, we viewed Caitlin as a very special athlete that was going to transcend the game,” Jason Howarth , the SVP of marketing and athlete relations for Panini America, told me then. “So none of this is really kind of surprising.

Clark is the hottest athlete is sports today — selling out arenas, setting record TV viewership numbers and incredible merchandise sales. They even discussed USA Basketball not including her on the Olympic Team during the Pacers-Suns game at NBA Summer League on Tuesday.

She will play in the WNBA All-Star game this weekend in Phoenix.

For Panini, they will serve as the primary car sponsor for Berry’s ride in the Brickyard 400, its first time sponsoring a Cup Car since 2021. Then, it will become an associate sponsor for the rest of the season.

“Every racecar driver wants to compete at Indy. It’s hallowed ground that all of us treat with a tremendous amount of respect,” Berry said in a statement. “To be there with Panini and promote its new Caitlin Clark Collection just adds to the prestige of racing in the Brickyard 400. Indy is a great sports town and it’s an honor to have Caitlin Clark as a part of our effort.”

Berry has four top-10 finishes this season.

Clark and the Fever have one more game before All-Star/Olympic break. They host the Dallas Wings on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET. It will air on ESPN.
