INDIANAPOLIS (WANE) – Caitlin Clark keeps rewriting the record books with the Indiana Fever. So it’s only fitting that the rookie sensation is named the WNBA’s Rookie of the Month for July.

Clark averaged 20.3 points, 12.5 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game this month with the Fever. The point guard also became the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple double amid a win over the New York Liberty. Clark also set a single-game WNBA record with 19 assists in a season in Wednesday’s loss to the Dallas Wings.

Clark is suiting up with the WNBA All-Star team in the upcoming showcase against the US Olympic team. The WNBA will then take a month-long break for the Olympics before resuming play in mid-August.
