NASCAR arrived at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the 2024 Brickyard 400, and the drama was through the roof. Denny Hamlin and Bubba Wallace won the first two stages but didn’t win the event. After a caution for Kyle Busch, NASCAR was forced into two overtimes, allowing a Hendrick Motorsports driver to redeem himself from the Indianapolis 500 in May.

Kyle Larson won the 2024 Brickyard 400, earning his fourth Cup Series victory of the NASCAR season. Larson was able to climb his way through the field with no fuel concerns and eventually ended up as the leader after the first NASCAR overtime. This is the driver of the No. 5 car’s first Brickyard 400 victory.

Larson has been NASCAR’s best driver in 2024, and despite missing the Coca-Cola 600, he has the points lead in the regular season. The 2021 Cup Series champion has knocked off three of the four Crown Jewel events. Larson only has to win the Daytona 500 to complete his resume, but the focus is on the No. 5 team kissing the bricks in Indianapolis.
