Central Indiana will see thunderstorms Wednesday. Damaging winds, hail and flooding possible

The northern half of Central Indiana may see some thunderstorms this afternoon with damaging winds, hail and localized flooding possible, according to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

A seven-day Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued by NWS Indianapolis, with day one being today and tonight.

"Scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon into tonight, a few of which could be strong to possibly severe," the Hazardous Weather Outlook said. "Localized flooding and isolated damaging wind gusts are the primary threats, but marginally severe hail cannot be ruled out."

Scattered thunderstorms are possible again on Thursday and at the beginning of next week. Keep tabs on your local forecast for updates.

The counties that are included in the Hazardous Weather Outlook are: Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Carroll, Clay, Clinton, Daviess, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren.
