Colts Linebacker Makes Crude Comment on Olympic Gold Medalist Noah Lyles

Indianapolis Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin stirred up controversy on social media Monday with some rather unnerving comments about recent Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles.

Not long after Lyles won the 100-meter event, Franklin posted on X, "Noah Lyles is my least favorite American. Good morning." This bold statement has fans and followers buzzing about the possible reasons behind Franklin's comments.

Lyles has been known for his outspoken and confident demeanor, both on and off the track. His vibrant personality was particularly evident during his recent races at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Perhaps this is what has rubbed Franklin the wrong way.

Lyles is currently set to compete in the 200-meter dash on Wednesday, a race where he is heavily favored to win gold. He comfortably won his qualifying Heat 6 race with a time of 20.19 seconds, advancing to the semifinals.

Lyles has been a dominant force in track and field, winning 17 straight major international events since August 2021. His success on the track is matched by his confident and often flamboyant personality. While this has earned him a significant fan following, it also appears to have garnered some detractors.

Franklin, 28, is entering his seventh season in the NFL and is known for his defensive prowess on the gridiron... not his offensive comments on social media. Last year, he had 179 combined tackles, three tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.

As Lyles continues his quest for more Olympic gold, the spotlight on his personality and public interactions will likely intensify. Meanwhile, Franklin's comments have added a new layer of intrigue to the narrative surrounding Lyles' Olympic journey.
