There were some familiar faces among the state delegations at the Democratic National Convention Tuesday in Chicago — and we’re not talking about politicians.

Actors, filmmakers and musicians could be spotted amongst the delegates as they committed to Vice President Kamala Harris during the ceremonial roll call. Harris had already locked up the party nomination earlier in the month.)

Indiana’s commitment was kicked off by actor Sean Astin as Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough ” played at the United Center.

The “Lord of the Rings” film trilogy star, surrounded by the Indiana delegation, talked about ties to the Hoosier state.

"Indiana welcomed me into its heart as soon as I married Christine Harrell from Rolling Prairie; and that's before I lived in Hawkins or played the littlest player with the biggest heart at the University of Notre Dame — Rudy,” he said. “I want what's best for Indiana. That means electing Kamala Harris the first woman president of the United States of America.”

Then U.S. Rep. Andre D. Carson shouted out Jackson, Babyface and David Letterman’ before 86 delegates were delivered to Harris and Walz.

Astin starred in “Rudy,” the University of Notre Dame-set sports movie, as well as “Stranger Things,” the Netflix sci-fi horror drama set in the fictional Indiana town of Hawkins.

Last week, he announced he was hitting the road to support Harris .

    Wendell Pierce with Louisiana

The New Orleans-born actor from “The Wire” and “Treme” fronted the Louisiana delegation and said he was casting his personal vote for Harris.

    Spike Lee with New York

The Brooklyn-raised film director ("Do The Right Thing," "Malcolm X") was at the front of the New York delegation as they supported Harris.
