In addition to our USA TODAY Network Indiana high school football poll , which is voted on by a statewide group of media members, we are also unveiling an IndyStar Super 25 this season, which will rank the top-25 teams in the state regardless of class.
My power poll going into Week 3:
1. Westfield (2-0): Wins over Center Grove and Carmel by a combined 10 points show the Shamrocks can win close games. Previous: 1.
Westfield's early-season statement: 'The No. 1 spot, it’s a privilege. We earned it.'
Vote for Week 2 top performer: Game-winning catches, defensive game-wreckers:
2. Warren Central (2-0): If Warren Central continues allowing zero points per game, it bodes well for the Warriors. Previous: 2.
3. Crown Point (2-0): Major test this week at Merrillville. Previous: 3.
4. Brownsburg (1-0): A 30-14 win over Cathedral is a solid early-season statement from the Bulldogs. Previous: 7.
5. Center Grove (1-1): A challenging trip to Louisville Trinity this week for the Trojans. Previous: 5.
6. Hamilton Southeastern (2-0): HSE is averaging 291 rushing yards through two weeks going into the Avon game. Previous: 6.
7. Cathedral (1-1): After splitting two games with Ben Davis and Brownsburg, the Irish hit the road at Cincinnati St. Xavier. Previous: 4.
8. Carmel (1-1): The Greyhounds showed they were the better team for most of three quarters but could not close the deal in a 17-13 loss to Westfield. Previous: 9.
9. Lawrence North (2-0): Demario Moore caught seven passes for 152 yards and a touchdown in the Wildcats’ 34-13 win over Fort Wayne North Side (in half of a game). Previous: 10.
10. Columbus North (2-0): Quarterback Asher Ratliff ran for 137 yards and two TDs in the Bull Dogs’ 42-0 win over Columbus East. Previous: 18.
11. New Palestine (1-0): Josh Ranes was on his way to a big game (130 rushing yards and a TD) when New Palestine’s game vs. Decatur Central was stopped. Previous: 14.
12. Franklin Central (1-0): Big chance for the Flashes this week with Brownsburg visiting. Previous: 12.
13. Bishop Chatard (1-0): Jack Harrington was 12-for-16 passing for 162 yards and three TDs in one half in Chatard’s 28-7 win over Hanover Central. Previous: 16.
14. Noblesville (2-0): Noblesville is 2-0 for the fourth consecutive year. Getting to 3-0 means winning at Fishers. Previous: 17.
15. Whiteland (1-0): Whiteland was down 14-0 before rallying to tie Kokomo 14-14 at halftime before Friday’s game was called due to lightning. Previous: 19.
16. Merrillville (2-0): The Pirates, like Warren Central, have not allowed a point yet. That will probably change this week vs. Crown Point visiting. Previous: 20.
17. Fort Wayne Snider (1-1): Snider rebounded from the loss to Warren Central with a 35-10 win over East Noble. Previous: 21.
18. Pike (2-0): Welcome, Red Devils. Chase Shurn ran for 238 yards and a touchdown as Pike knocked off Fishers 35-34. Previous: NR.
What we learned Week 2: 'It's a new Pike', lightning crashes, more

21. Avon (1-1): Like Pike, Avon broke through a major way with a 29-28 overtime win over Ben Davis. Hamilton Southeastern visits this week. Previous: NR.
22. Ben Davis (0-2): Alijah Price ran for 113 yards and a TD on 20 carries in the loss to Avon. Previous: 8.
