The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh has just changed another family’s life. Little Billie Kate is finally hearing her parents’ voice for the first time, which is the most precious moment.

At the beginning of the video, little Billie Kate is not a fan of her new hearing aids . You can see that she struggles against the woman putting them onto her ears. She waves her hands as if to push the woman away and has a face that seems to say, “What are you doing to me, woman?”

Her little baby cries and gurgles become more and more audible as she tries to express his discomfort. That is until something amazing happens. As the hearing aids turn on, this baby begins to realize that she can hear herself, as well as those around her.

Her mom notices that she can hear and says “Hi pretty girl” while tickling her feet. The baby looks at her mother with a look of surprise plastered on her face. She seems torn between pure joy and sheer confusion at being able to hear her mother’s voice.

Her father then chimes in and asks her, “How are you doing?” The baby looks up and smiles at her father before staring straight ahead with her little fingers in her mouth.

Pure Joy As Baby Finally Hears Her Parents

After hearing her parents’ voices, this baby seems to need a minute to herself. It appears as if she is contemplating all of the sounds that she can now hear. Her mother tries to get her attention with another foot tickle as she says, “Billie, you want to look over here now?”

Eventually, as this adorable baby hears her mom say “hi” again, she turns to face her. A huge smile blooms across as she finally realizes she can hear her mommy talking to her. The viewers are loving this precious moment almost as much as Billie herself.
