Willie Nelson and his son, Micah, have come together to offer fans a special surprise. The dynamic duo has been working together on a new album. As this is his 76th album, Willie is no stranger to releasing them. However, working with his youngest son brings something special to this new album.

Willie Nelson’s Son: Another Musical Talent

While Saving Country Music points out that Willie’s son Lukas Nelson seems like he would be his direct understudy, Micah Nelson is no stranger to sharing his musical abilities as well. Micah shares his music with the world and is a part of a band called “Particle Kid,” which is also his nickname.

As Willie Nelson and his son Micah grew closer, it was only natural that their music would grow closer as well. Micah played a huge part in this upcoming album, “Last Leaf on the Tree.” The album contains a mix of songs that Willie Nelson co-wrote and covers of others.

However, the 91-year-old did not create this album alone. Micah not only produced it but also showcased his various musical abilities. He plays most of the instrumentals on the album, including guitar and piano.

Micah told Saving Country Music that he took “a sculptor’s approach” to the album. He stated: “It’s an approach that I really love and have used a lot over the years– just throwing the clay down and stepping back, then maybe adding a little more, and then maybe shaving down here, and kind of building the tracks that way.”

Good Morning America shares that the newest album comes after Willie Nelson’s recovery from an unspecified illness. While this illness caused him to miss many performances , fans are glad to see him back in action. Willie Nelson and his son Micah’s album is set to be released on November 1st.
