There’s fest’s, experiences and markets galore this weekend in Iowa. Iowa City boasts two festivals this weekend, the third iteration of the Illterati Fest at Gabe’s on Friday (we chatted with host Anthony Worden about it) and on Saturday, the Iowa City Latino Fest being celebrated on the Ped Mall. Windy Goat Acres, in the town of Chelsea hosts “The Faery Experience; An Immersive Fantasy Retreat.” There will be live music, aerial arts and plant walks among a slew of other fae inspired activities. Speaking of plants, two plant-related events caught our eye. Woman, juvenile charged in shooting death of a Sioux Falls teenager
A 17-year-old Sioux Falls male is dead after another juvenile allegedly shot him with a stolen firearm. A 33-year-old is also facing charges, in what Sioux Falls Police call an accidental shooting.
