From the National Weather Service - Duluth - July 23, 2024. , June 2024 was a wet one! Many counties in the Northland had Top 10 monthly precipitation, and Bayfield County had its wettest June ever! On a statewide level, Minnesota saw its 4th wettest June (surpassed by 2014, 1914, and 1905) and Wisconsin its 6th (bested by 1968, 1967, 1914, 1993, and 2010). One dead, one seriously injured in ATV crash in Tigerton; alcohol said to be a factor
TIGERTON (WLUK) -- One person is dead and another sustained serious injuries after an ATV crash in Shawano County. Shortly after 8:30 a.m. Saturday, an employee of the Tigerton OHV Park and Campground called 911 after coming upon the scene of the crash, where an ATV had struck a tree in the Embarrass River OHV Park.
On international Climate Emergency Day, young Milwaukeeans speak out
Monday was Climate Emergency Day. It’s an international call for action over the next five years to prevent catastrophic global warming. Wisconsin was represented. Nine rallies were staged throughout the state, including at the Capitol. One small but passionate contingent carpooled from Milwaukee to Madison to participate in the rally.
