IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Siouxland’s very own All-American Hawkeye Cooper DeJean shared his knowledge and passion for football with the kids of Iowa Sunday morning.

The Philadelphia Eagles newest defensive back was back in Iowa City Sunday afternoon for a youth football camp at Kinnick Stadium.

Kids in grades second through eighth got to interact with DeJean and some of his former Hawkeye teammates all while sharing their love for the game.

DeJean said the coolest part of hosting his first youth camp was the historic venue.

“First of all, being able to do it in Kinnick I think that’s awesome,” said DeJean. “Getting these kids the experience, to be in Kinnick Stadium, play around on the field, to give back to all the kids. Hopefully they had fun, I enjoyed it. Hopefully we can do it again next year.”
