A creative summer art project by Amy Schultz on the curb near her North Liberty home has caught the eye of neighborhood kids and beyond.

Amy crafted "Leo" the lizard by painting and gluing rocks together, then invited other rock painters to add to his tail by placing painted rocks behind him on the curb.

To date, 60 have been placed there, including a sand dollar, Bob Ross rock, a mouse, reclining ceramic frog and a goldfish holding a shark. Some glow in the dark and at least one came from a neighbor's granddaughter in Tiffin. It helps being located near a school bus stop, she said.

Before the snow flies, Amy is "hoping it will stretch to the neighbor's driveway."

"Somebody even placed a rock with a fly on it on Leo's tongue," she said, "to give him a little treat to eat."
