Page Six reported a few months into their relationship that Kelce had already asked Swift's father for his blessing to propose. Now, the same source suggests that an engagement could be on the cards very soon.
Swift was spotted at 13 NFL games this past season, traveling across the country to support Kelce - even taking a 13-hour flight from Tokyo to pause her tour and watch him win the Super Bowl.
Kelce has reciprocated the support, attending Swift's concerts in Argentina, Australia, France and England during her Eras tour. However, in recent weeks, the couple have spent an extended period apart as Swift continues her European tour and Kelce returns to training camp with the Chiefs.
Swift is expected to return to Kansas City once her European tour concludes later this month, where she spent much of the 2023 season with Kelce.
As the 2023 NFL season was winding down, reports suggested that Kelce had a word with Scott Swift to get his green light to propose to Taylor. "Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring," an insider reportedly shared with Page Six.
Kelce hung out with Scott in the VIP section of a concert in Argentina, and Taylor's dad donned Chiefs kit at the Super Bowl in Travis' box, despite being a hardcore Philadelphia Eagles supporter.
Putting rumours to rest, Travis recently agreed to a contract extension to stay with the Chiefs for an additional two seasons, quashing any whispers of a possible retirement post-2024 season. Kelce is now aiming for glory with the Chiefs in their pursuit of an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl victory next year.
