Authorities are thoroughly investigating a foiled terror plot targeting Taylor Swift's concerts in Vienna, with an alleged ISIS member making a full confession .

Two suspects have been apprehended in connection with the planned attack on the Eras Tour shows in Austria . Initially, a 19-year-old Austrian citizen was detained, followed by the arrest of a second, yet unidentified suspect on Wednesday afternoon.

The 19-year-old suspect has confessed to planning the terror attack at a Taylor Swift concert after being taken into custody.

In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), Deputy Cabinet Chief of the Federal Chancellor Daniel Kosak revealed: "Based on the information now available, we know that the threat and the attack plans were very specific, the danger very real."

"The main perpetrator who was arrested has made a full confession. The original tip-off from foreign services referred to a lone perpetrator. The DSN has uncovered the network that was also involved."

According to reports, the teenager intended to drive a car into the 20,000 fans gathered outside Ernst Happel Stadium during the concert, and later attack them with machetes and knives.

Chemicals and substances were discovered at the first suspect's residence, but authorities are still assessing whether these could be used to construct a bomb. Local media outlets claim that a bomb in an advanced stage of construction was planned, citing chemical substances found at his home.

Reports from an Austrian source, Kurier, claim that the suspect had nefarious plans to construct a bomb using highly volatile TATP chemicals.

Taylor was all set for a three-gig stint in Vienna as part of her 'Eras Tour'. Vienna's police chief Gerhard Purstl reckoned about 65,000 revelers were expected each day, plus another 22,000 outside the gig space.

The programmes for Wednesday evening were swiftly called off. Barracuda Music broke the news, stating: "Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Vienna shows canceled due to government officials confirmation of planned terrorist attack."

They detailed further: "With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel stadium. We have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone's safety."
