US rapper Travis Scott has been taken into police custody in Paris, France, it has emerged.

The 33-year-old musician was reportedly detained on Friday 9 August, following a disturbance at the luxurious George V hotel in the French capital .

It's been reported by Valeurs that an argument escalated to a physical fight in the early hours of Friday, with allegations suggesting the rapper was under the influence of alcohol.

Representatives for Scott have been sought for a statement by The Mirror. In other news concerning Scott, there were earlier reports this week regarding a scheduled court date for him in September due to another unrelated incident in Miami.

Back in June, the artist found himself embroiled in a brawl aboard a yacht.

Although he managed to shake off the disorderly intoxication charge from that episode, Scott is still facing trespassing allegations. During the June situation, Kylie Jenner's former flame was taken into custody at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Centre after causing what was described as a "disturbance" on a hired vessel at the Miami Beach Marina.

Miami Beach Police Department officials reported at the time that he was "drunk causing a disturbance, and asked to leave multiple times."

Scott, born Jacques Bermon Webster, was eventually granted release after posting a $650 bond, which equaled approximately; this included $500 for the trespassing accusation and $150 (£118) for the disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

When his mugshot was made public, he looked visibly tired and disoriented. Video footage of the incident has also been released.

TMZ reports that at a Miami hearing on Thursday, which Scott did not attend, prosecutors officially dismissed the disorderly intoxication charge against him.

This alleged incident occurred after Scott was seen enjoying the Olympic Games in the city on Thursday evening. The 'Sicko Mode' singer was photographed enthusiastically supporting Team USA during the men's basketball semi-final against Serbia.

In addition to these incidents, Scott is also reported to have been involved in another mishap at the Cannes Film Festival. Tensions are said to have escalated near the DJ's booth at a party hosted by Richie Akiva.

In May, it was reported that Scott and his friend Southside had a confrontation with AE Edwards, a friend of Tyga, who is the ex of Kylie Jenner, the mother of Travis' children.
