Royal author Tom Quinn has suggested that Prince Harry is grappling with " huge tensions " due to boredom, as he and Meghan Markle find it challenging to occupy their time after stepping back from Royal duties in 2020 . Quinn told the Mirror about the Duke's struggles since moving to the United States, noting that Harry misses many aspects of his former life.

The commentator believes Harry is already "bored" with his new lifestyle, lacking a social network in the States because his army and school friends are reluctant to visit, finding Meghan difficult to get along with. Quinn remarked: "Harry is increasingly bored and looking back across the Atlantic where most of his army and school friends still live and whom he never sees because they won't visit him in the States because they find Meghan difficult."

He continued, highlighting the couple's struggle to fill their days: "They are finding it difficult to get through the days and weeks of not having much to do. Meghan is hugely driven. But she can hardly blame him for not being a commercial whiz-kid as he has only ever been trained to be a royal. Harry doesn't really have very much to do on a day-to-day basis."

He continued: "After he's taken the dog for a walk and maybe gone for a drive, he has nothing to do other than support Meghan. Meghan on the other hand needs someone who has serious determination to succeed in the world. This has led to huge tensions," reports the Mirror .

Recently, Meghan has been especially active, launching her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard and filming her upcoming Netflix series that will feature her culinary talents. Prince Harry is also busy working on promoting the Invictus Games and various other initiatives including his documentary series. His packed agenda could be making it tough to keep up with friends, and despite his efforts, he is said to still long for the UK.

Considering the Sussexes are now roughly 5,500 miles from their old stomping grounds at Frogmore Cottage, distance might be adding to the challenges in Harry's relationships, since they opted to trade the lush landscape of Berkshire for the sunny vistas of Montecito, California back in 2020.

While some of Harry's friendships seem to have dwindled after relocating to America, he's managed to maintain others, like his bond with global polo sensation Nacho Figueras. However, Royal commentator Jennie Bond suggests that Harry probably feels the personal sacrifices are worth the joy of his new chapter.

"I think we can say that it must be tough for Harry to have lost touch with virtually all his old circle of friends as well as his family,'" the former Royal reporter told OK!

"But we must assume that he feels that sacrifice is worth it for the life he now has with the woman he loves and the children he adores."
