Taco Bell's 'The Cantinas' retirement community in San Diego sold out in minutes

In a few days, Taco Bell will be launching its early retirement community known as The Cantinas.

This Mexican-inspired fast food chain is set to open an early retirement community exclusively for Taco Bell Rewards members on the 17th and 18th of August in San Diego.

The community is strictly for fans aged 21 and above. Weekend memberships with overnight accommodation are priced at $150, while a day pass costs $50.

According to a news release, all memberships were sold out within three minutes. Members will enjoy amenities such as dining options, a pool, sound bath, pickball courts, a game room, shopping areas, and a golf course.

Those who secure a weekend membership will have two days filled with activities, from Cantina's Crochet Club to jewellery making. There will also be Taco Bell prizes, merchandise and more available throughout the stay.

The Cantinas recently announced its board of directors, who will lead activities for members. They include influencer Joey Zauzig as "Director of Retiree Vibes," influencer and comedian Terri Joe as "Live Mas Bell(e)" and the TikTok group Retirement House as the "Slow Roaster Seniors."

The members of Retirement House stated in a release: "We're rewriting the script for life beyond Retirement! The six of us are living proof that, like a fine wine, life can get better with age. Retirement is anything but boring, it's an opportunity to spend quality time with your loved ones and play every day."

They added: "Excuse us as we live our best lives as the Slow Roasted Seniors on the Cantinas Board of Directors and show a new generation how to sit back, relax, and enjoy the good life with their best friends."

In celebration of the release, Taco Bell Rewards Members can avail of a $0 delivery fee on orders made through the app from Aug. 15 to 18.

They also have the chance to win a Cantinas pickleball set on the Tuesday Drops page of the app.
