Tom Brady was seen suited up at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles , ahead of the Rams' preseason match against the Dallas Cowboys. This sparked rumours that the NFL legend was preparing for his broadcasting debut.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion was spotted on the field hours before kickoff, chatting with broadcaster Kevin Burkhardt and billionaire Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. He'll be taking on a media role, joining Amanda Balionis who will be starting coverage of the NFL soon .

Dressed in a navy suit, polka dot tie, brown leather shoes and a shiny silver watch, Brady certainly looked ready for the camera. However, this led to an awkward mix-up when the NFL's X account prematurely announced that Brady was set to make his broadcasting debut , sharing a video of him walking along the sideline.

Despite the lack of official confirmation about Brady's debut before the game, fans were left questioning the post. While the NFL Network is broadcasting the game nationally, Brady will be Fox Sports' No.1 NFL analyst.

The NFL quickly deleted the tweet, but not before it had been shared and saved by numerous accounts on social media.

Dallas Cowboys' reporter Nick Harris also shared a video of Brady's visit, confirming that the famed New England Patriots legend was doing a trial run for FOX. " Tom Brady is in the building for his test run on the FOX broadcast today before his TV debut in week one for Cowboys-Browns," stated the tweet.

Last month, Brady shared his aspirations for his new role within the NFL world. "I have a high expectation how the game is supposed to be played and how it needs to be coached, how it needs to be officiated," he said during an interview with NFL Network Insiders.

Brady explained further, "I want to see the game grow; I want to see the game succeed; I want to see it better than ever. How can I play a role in impacting that? I can give my opinion, and if people want to listen great but if they don't that's OK. But I only have the best intentions for what I'm about to undertake and I love the group of teammates that I'm undertaking it with."

On 'The Pivot' podcast, Brady previously acknowledged that he had taken football "too seriously" when looking at the new generation of quarterbacks like Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes.

He said: "When I see these young players, I see like Patrick [Mahomes] out there at quarterback, running around, laughing, having fun, I'm like, I used to be like that. What the hell happened?

"I just got too serious, but, again, I can only look back and think, 'Okay, if I do it again, which I'll never do it again, I would be different.' But the reality is, you can't."
