An urgent Amber Alert has been issued for three young siblings taken from their Virginia Beach home after their mother was stabbed.

At the centre of this critical statewide search are 5-year-old Zayin, 3-year-old Zayir, and 1-year-old Zariyah Plummer. The alarm was raised late on Wednesday evening.

Virginia Beach Police reported that the kids were kidnapped shortly before 9pm on Wednesday following an attack where their mom was stabbed . It's said that the abductor, 36-year-old Dana Demetrius Plummer, was last spotted leaving with them from their place on Jay Are Court.

Even though they share a last name, it remains unspecified how the children are related to the suspect. Authorities have expressed serious fear for the safety of the children, suggesting they're in "extreme danger" and might be traveling in a black 2024 Honda Passport SUV with temporary plates marked '37550R'.

The manhunt is on for Dana Plummer, a Black male with brown hair and eyes, standing around 5'9" tall, and weighing 165 pounds. The abducted children are all described as Black with brown eyes and hair; only Zariyah is a girl.

Zayir, who is about 4 feet tall and weighs roughly 100 pounds, was last seen wearing grey trousers and a black jacket. Zayin Plummer, also around 4 feet tall and weighing approximately 100 pounds, was last spotted in rust-coloured trousers and a light blue shirt.
