Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce " won't get married until they agree on a prenup ," sources have reportedly revealed. The couple stole the hearts of the nation last year after seamlessly merging the world of sport and entertainment .
The pair, both aged 34, have enjoyed a top year, with the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl and the Fortnight singer continuing her sensational, record-breaking Eras Tour which has reached pretty much every corner of the globe .
There has been a lot of speculation that the two could be close to tying the knot , with rumors even circulating that they were planning on getting engaged in Ireland while Taylor performed sold-out shows at Dublin's Aviva Stadium.
Now, it has been revealed that there could be the small - or rather very large - matter of the pair's finances to contend with before their Love Story can really get underway in the form of the prenuptial agreement .
Life & Style recently published an article suggesting that Taylor and Travis won't be saying their vows until both sides agree on a prenup , and that the legal agreement is the only thing standing in the way of their big day.
“There’s just no way Taylor would walk down the aisle without a prenup ,” a source told Life & Style. “They both want it figured out before Travis gets down on one knee.”
Swift is reportedly worth more than $1 billion, while Kelce is worth around $70 million. With this in mind, the duo have reportedly talked details regarding the prenup, but busy schedules have made it hard to come to a conclusion .
“This is a lot further along than either Taylor or Travis would care to admit, since they’ve considered themselves unofficially engaged for a while and are both 100 percent committed to spending the rest of their lives together and starting a family,” a source told the publication.
“The formalities are just their schedules that have gotten in the way, as well as the logistics of a prenup, which is obviously complicated by the vast amounts of money involved on both sides .”
It comes after Kelce promised Taylor Swift's family to be her guardian in every way possible , with reports from The Mirror Online suggesting that they view the NFL ace as a 'built in bodyguard.'
