Prince William's emotional reason for 'not liking Meghan Markle from the start'

The feud between Prince William and Prince Harry shows no signs of easing, with a new book detailing the depth of the rift . It's claimed that Prince William had doubts about Meghan Markle from the outset.

Jennie Bond, a former BBC Royal correspondent, shared with OK!: "There have been times in this past year when William has looked incredibly alone, shouldering the responsibility of being a son whose father has cancer, a husband caring for his wife as she also deals with cancer, a father of three young children... and who has no brother or mother to turn to for a bit of TLC."

Allegations have surfaced that William confided to a friend his belief that Meghan Markle harbored an "agenda," and he felt "hurt" and "betrayed" by the discord between her and his wife, Kate Middleton, who had been wary of Meghan "from the start."

In Robert Lacey's "Battle of the Brothers," it is suggested that William felt Meghan was 'stealing his beloved brother away from him," reports the Mirror . He also thought Meghan didn't grasp the workings of the Royal establishment.

A Kensington Palace insider is quoted: "Meghan portrayed herself as the victim, but she was the bully. People felt run over by her. They thought she was a complete narcissist and sociopath - unhinged."

Furthermore, Lacey believes William suspected Meghan had an 'agenda' and had expressed his concerns to Harry before they got engaged.

The tension between Harry and Meghan and the Royal Family has been escalating since their explosive Oprah interview in 2021, which came a year after they dramatically left the Royal fold. The situation reached a boiling point with their highly contentious Netflix docuseries, where they made several shocking allegations about William and Kate, none of which have been addressed by the Palace.

Adding fuel to the fire, Prince Harry's memoir Spare gave his perspective on Meghan's relationship with Kate, revealing private details about a disagreement between the two women. He claimed that Kate 'grimaced' when Meghan borrowed her lipgloss and that there was a fallout after Meghan accused William's wife of having "baby brain" following the birth of Prince Louis.

Since the release of Harry's book Space in January 2023, it is reported that he and Prince William have not spoken. Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich told Fox News that William has effectively "banned" Harry from rejoining the Royal family, discussing the rift between the two brothers.

She stated: "It is widely known within the family that Prince William has laid down an absolute ban on Harry returning in any way, shape or form into his former royal family fold."
