Panic has set in with Oasis fans after the band confirmed that they will be playing two dates at Croke Park in Dublin next summer. After a 15-year hiatus, many fans are desperate to get their hands on tickets which will be in high demand.

This morning, the Gallagher brothers sent fans into a frenzy when they wrote on social media: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

Like most in-demand shows, people are expecting that tickets will be priced higher than usual. All ticket sales for the 80,000-strong venue will go through Ticketmaster.

Today, Music promoters MCD confirmed that ticket prices will start from €86.50 plus the booking fee. They are limited to four per transaction.

  • The lowest price tier is likely to sell out the fastest and though a maximum price has not been confirmed, the rest are likely to range in price between €100 and €165

Fans were warned that there will be no presale for Oasis tickets and all tickets will be sold on a “first come first serve” basis. The general sale will start at 8am on Saturday, August 31. Tickets for the UK shows will go on sale an hour later, at 9am.

Oasis are predicted to rake in almost €15m ($16.7m) in ticket sales for their two Croke Park Dublin dates. They will play in five cities across Ireland the UK - Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.
