Tiger Woods' ex-wife Elin Nordegren sent brutal foul-mouthed message to waitress sleeping with married golfer

Tiger Woods' former spouse Elin Nordegren allegedly unleashed a blistering message on one of his mistresses after discovering his adulterous escapades, an episode said to have triggered the infamous car crash in his own front yard.

In the wee hours of November 27th, 2009, constables came across Tiger Woods beside his residence, sprawled on the turf near his black Cadillac Escalade that had careered into a water hydrant and subsequently a tree.

It's rumoured that upon learning about her partner's infidelity, Nordegren - who was said to be unimpressed that Woods treated her like "room service" at the beginning of their romance - bolted from their dwelling with a golf club in pursuit, proceeding to bash in the windows of his vehicle. Patterson chronicled how Nordegren pieced together Woods' secret romantic involvements despite his initial rebuttal of rumours soon to break cover via a magazine's expose. Determined to confront the truth, she took initiative by directly messaging one of the women implicated.

After verifying Woods' phone whilst he was dozing, Nordegren directly contacted a mistress, asserting: "I know everything," and traded texts before challenging another woman linked to Woods, reports the Mirror .

Upon the second woman enquiring about who was on the phone line, Nordegren starkly clarified: "You know who this is, because you're ------- my husband."

After Tiger Woods was roused and confronted, he locked himself in the bathroom for a short time and then took off from his house. He tried to get away in his Cadillac but ended up crashing barely 150 yards down the road, just outside his front garden in Windermere, Florida , a location that's incredibly close to the likes of Disney World and Universal Studios.

This event turned out to be the beginning of a difficult period for Woods' career; he took time away from golf and admitted some personal failings.

He made a public announcement saying: "After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father and person."

Meanwhile, as this situation unfolded, a variety of women approached Nordegren and the media, including "an onslaught of adult stars, strippers, escorts and party girls", which left Elin feeling deeply "embarrassed for having been so deceived".
