Liverpool has kicked off well under the guidance of Arne Slot, but a significant challenge awaits them at Manchester United . The kick-off time for this game has been moved forward .

As acknowledged by new head coach Slot, his team will face tougher challenges than Ipswich and Brentford. The first of these is looming in the form of the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

The teams met in pre-season, with Liverpool emerging victorious with a 3-0 win in Columbia , South Carolina. We'll have to wait and see what unfolds when these fierce rivals clash this weekend.

However, it's already known that the kick-off time has been shifted from the initially advertised 4.30pm start (UK time, 11:30am EST).

The match between Liverpool and United will now commence at 4pm (11am EST). This isn't the only Premier League fixture on Sunday affected in this way.

Normally, earlier matches kick off at 2pm (9am EST), but Crystal Palace's visit to Chelsea and the Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur match will start at 1.30pm (8:30am EST) instead.

According to the Daily Mail, police concerns are likely the reason for the Old Trafford match being moved to an earlier slot. Research indicates that earlier start times reduce fan trouble, which is undoubtedly a consideration for the police ahead of such a high-stakes fixture.

The two clashes at Old Trafford in the latter half of last season both kicked off at 3.30pm (10.30am EST), a time slot that's rarely seen on the schedule. Liverpool will be hoping that the 30-minute later start will help them secure a victory, unlike the extra time loss and draw they experienced in those matches.

Regardless of the current form of the two clubs, any match with United is undoubtedly one of the biggest of Liverpool's season. Be sure to tune in half an hour earlier than usual this Sunday, as you won't want to miss a moment of it.
