The first full-length trailer for the much-anticipated horror flick Terrifier 3 has been unveiled online, with its 'naughty cut' version leaving fans in a state of fear .

This sequel is a follow-up to 2022's Terrifier 2, which ended with Victoria, now confined to an institution, giving birth to Art the Clown's living head.

The next instalment of this chilling saga sees Sienna (Lauren LaVera) and her brother Jonathan (Elliott Fullam) dealing with the aftermath of surviving the supernatural killer's previous bloodbath.

"As the holiday season approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind," the official synopsis discloses. "But just when they think they're safe, Art the Clown returns, determined to turn their holiday cheer into a new nightmare. The festive season quickly unravels as Art unleashes his twisted brand of terror, proving that no holiday is safe."

Damien Leone is back as the writer and director for the third instalment of the cult franchise, with David Howard Thornton once again taking on his role as the merciless murderer.

The budget for Terrifier 3 saw a substantial increase to $2 million (up from $250,000), following its predecessor's impressive box office earnings of over $15m.

Devotees of the Terrifier series are already buzzing with theories after watching the trailer's deeply unsettling visuals. Fans have been vocal on social media, with one saying: "Oh goodness I fear many will be vomiting and throwing up in theatres when seeing this one," and another forecasting: "This is going to be Horror Movie of the Year."

Fans are exclaiming their excitement, with remarks such as "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! First off wow. You can see the difference that $2m budget makes. It just looks so much better," not to mention comments about the improved cinematic quality. "So much more cinematic. David [Howard Thornton] looks so comfortable as art. The effects took a nice step up. It simple looks more cinematic in general while still having that dirty grind house feel."

Director Damien Leone has also thrown a bone to eager fans in one of his previous posts, hinting at the new instalment: "Can honestly say we just filmed one of the most insanely horrific scenes of the Terrifier franchise and you'll never believe who couldn't handle it on set the bts [behind-the-scenes] is hilarious. Can't wait for you all to see!"
