Merrill pushes past Wausau Legion baseball
WAUSAU – Merrill scored eight runs over the final four innings to pull away and defeat Wausau 13-5 in an American Legion baseball game Thursday night at Athletic Park. Merrill (4-5, 2-4 Wisconsin Valley Legion Conference) scored five times in the second inning, only to see Wausau close to within a run with a four-run third, keyed by a three-run homer from Dylan Dobratz.
Merrill Bluejay JV Team brings home third place trophy from State Competition
A bus filled with 51 Merrill Bluejay trap shooters traveled to Rome, Wis., on Friday, June 21, 2024, to compete in the Wisconsin Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) Single Trap competition at the Wisconsin Trapshooting Association (WTA) Homegrounds/Shooting Complex. “It was downpouring rain when the bus arrived,” one of the coaches said. “Thankfully, the rain cleared and held off for most of our flights.”

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Tomahawk Claybusters recently competed in Wisconsin Rapids and Nekoosa. The Claybusters participated in Handicap Doubles at the Heart of Wisconsin Gun Club in Wisconsin Rapids. Tomahawk results are as follows:. Handicap, JV: Tyler Strassman, 79, placed 13th; Fletcher Baumann, 62, 44th; Mason Jaecks, 32, 67th.
