IRON RIVER, Mich. (WJMN) — While Alice’s Supper Club has been a staple in the Iron River community for half a century, the story is just beginning for its new owner.

Terri Bechtel-Storti has been the owner since January 2024. “I had been a patron of Alice’s for 20 plus years,” said Bechtel-Storti, “and when it came up that it was going to be for sale, we immediately jumped at the opportunity to take that on because it was really important for us to keep it the same same food, same menu, same prices, same staff.”

She says reservations are recommended because their tables still fill up fast.

“So far everyone’s been very pleased, very happy,” said Terri. “I know that I was a little skeptical if it was really going to stay the same. And it is. Aside from a couple of enhancements, a couple of different pictures on the wall, a new expansive wine menu and some new appetizers, everything truly is really staying the same here at Alice’s.”

A big part of Alice’s charm that they wanted to maintain was the true supper club experience. Terri told us what that entails: “Come in, maybe sit in, have a drink, you have a nice meal, great service, relaxed environment. We have Frank Sinatra on the radio. Just really an enjoyable dinner. And maybe when you’re done, stopping back at the bar and maybe having an after-dinner drink, or an ice cream drink and just really start to finish the whole experience.”

Our tip on what to order? It has to be the homemade pasta.

“Our lasagna is just to die for our meat sauce is just to die for,” said Terri. “We also have different options to if maybe pasta isn’t your thing, you can get an amazing chicken, we have pork chops, we have steaks that are really the best.”

You can expect Alice’s Supper Club to be open every night except Mondays, from 4:30-9 p.m.
