MITCHELL, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - After almost 25 years of serving the Mitchell community, Chief of Police Michael Koster retired from his duties on Friday. His service in the Mitchell Police Department began in 2000, but his passion for being a law enforcement officer came from his inspiration — his father.
