New Auburn research center in Orange Beach takes step forward
A project between Auburn University and the City of Orange Beach has been in the works for more than a decade but is now closer to becoming a reality. The planned research facility was first discussed in 2011 but with funding recently secured, the ground lease agreement has officially been authorized by the Orange Beach city council.

Class of 2025 three-star linebacker Myles Johnson announced that he was decommitting from the Alabama Crimson Tide. The news came just hours after 2025 four-star athlete Zymear Smith decommitted from the program. Johnson had been committed to Alabama since October. However, he had taken official visits to the Florida Gators and Ole Miss Rebels in June. MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The third annual nonprofit Luncheon Of Love is a FREE full coarse lunch hosted by Mobile’s own independent recording artist D’Battles and family. This lunch is sponsored by more than 10 restaurants and local businesses here in the Gulf coast. Woman seeks bystanders who rescued daughter from burning home following brutal attack
The family of the woman who was savagely attacked in Dickson, Tennessee, is on the hunt for the heroic pair from Alabama who rescued her from a burning home on Monday. Emergency personnel were dispatched to the 1200 block of North Charlotte Street in Dickson after receiving reports of a house fire.
