Tragic Accident Claims Life of Motorcyclist in Hillsborough County

Hillsborough County, FL. - In a heartbreaking incident on the night of March 13, 2024, a collision on SR-39 north of Holloway Road in Hillsborough County resulted in the death of a 57-year-old Plant City man. The accident, which occurred at approximately 9:40 PM, involved a Volvo V70 and a Yamaha motorcycle, both traveling southbound along the roadway.

According to reports from Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was ahead of the Volvo when traffic abruptly came to a halt. While the motorcycle managed to stop in time, the Volvo, driven by a 51-year-old Plant City woman, tragically failed to do the same, crashing into the rear of the motorcycle with devastating force.
