A new restaurant has opened in Rocky River.

Earlier this month, a new restaurant called Westsiders - which is located in Rocky River at 19880 Detroit Rd (where Bomba Tacos used to be) - opened its doors to the public, according to Westsiders' social media account. Per the restaurant's website, Westsiders aims to bring downtown vibes to the suburbs as well as "late-night cocktails" and "chef-driven American cuisine."

The restaurant's menu includes appetizers like ricotta, fried chickpeas, pork belly, and tuna crudo. As for main courses, customers can get dishes such as mushroom cavatelli (which has arugula, lemon, pepper, and parmesan), walleye (which is served with cauliflower, apple, brown butter, dill, capers, and lemon), the Westsiders burger (which is topped with cheddar, arugula, shallots, and fancy sauce and is served with fries), and pork collar, which comes with braised greens, sweet potato, and chili gravy.

If you have room for dessert, Westsiders offers flourless chocolate cake, olive oil cake, and pavlova with fresh fruit. On the weekends, the restaurant offers a brunch menu with items like biscuits & gravy, salmon eggs benedict, steak & eggs, and chicken salad sandwiches.

If you want something to drink, the restaurant makes a variety of cocktails like the Matcha Fizz (which is a bubbly drink with gin, cacao butter, vanilla, coconut, and matcha) and the Caprese, which is made with whiskey, basil, tomato, lime, grapefruit, and whey.

Westsiders is a real gem of a restaurant and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit there. The decor and atmosphere was perfect for a night out with friends and had the vibes of a downtown restaurant right in Rocky River. Our table enjoyed several of the main course dishes and were impressed by each. Notably the ricotta cavatelli and steak entrees were the groups favorites. The desserts were also surprisingly complex and each had a twist on it that made it uniquly delicious. I can't wait to return and try the rest of the menu!

The restaurant is open 5 days a week, Wednesday to Thursday from 11 AM to 11 PM, Friday from 11 AM to 12 AM, Saturday from 10 AM to 12 AM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 11 PM.
