OBERLIN, OH - A new restaurant has come to town.

Are you in the mood for Mexican cuisine? If you answered yes to that question, you might want to know about the new restaurant Taco Flavored Kisses, which is located in Oberlin at 19 W College St. According to the restaurant's social media account, Taco Flavored Kisses celebrated its soft opening on August 20.

The menu includes dishes like the street tacos plate (which comes with 3 tacos that are served on corn tortillas that are made in-house; each taco comes with cilantro, onion, and your choice of protein as well as salsa and lime on the side), quesabirria plate (which comes with 3 tacos filled with birria, cilantro, onion, and melted cheese as well as consomé on the side), pollo frito (which is fried chicken covered in a gluten-free breading), customizable burritos (which are stuffed with your choice of rice, beans, protein, and toppings), customizable quesadillas (which are filled with melted cheese, your choice of protein, and your choice of toppings), and customizable bowls.

Protein options include carne asada (which is grilled flank steak that is marinated in beer and citrus juice), pollo asado (which is grilled chicken thigh that is marinated in citrus juice), tinga (which is shredded chicken that is sauteed and stewed with onions and a spicy chipotle tomato sauce), carnitas (braised and shredded pork that is marinated in beer, citrus, and spices), and al pastor, which is grilled sliced pork that is marinated in a sweet and spicy achiote paste with citrus, pineapple juice, and onions. For those who don't eat meat, the restaurant offers vegan al pastor made with cauliflower and chickpeas.

Here is what a local guide had to say about the new addition to Oberlin in a Google review:

Day one of soft open and I was so impressed! Food was light and healthy with flavor. I promise it was very nicely placed together in the bowl until I mixed it up.
Definitely a great addition to our town

The carne asada tacos were amazing! Best part was they made it in handmade tortillas.
