    The Free Library of Philadelphia

Everybody needs a library card and should try to visit their local library a few times a year. The library is such an underutilized resource. In addition to books, they have countless workshops resume writing to basic computer classes - both in-person and virtually. For example:

Tuesdays and Thursdays at various locations :

Do you know about VITA and TCE?

Why pay when you can file for free at a trusted and trained VITA or TCE tax preparer? I've personally received help from the IRS and I was a trained VITA tax preparer many years ago. It's an excellent cost-saving resource.

According to the IRS.gov website, The IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs offer free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals:

    • People who generally make $60,000 or less
    • Persons with disabilities; and
    • Limited English-speaking taxpayers

For more information about VITA and TCE you can visit the IRS website or to find an official VITA or TCE site, you go to the PA 211 website or IRS site finder.
