April 2, 2024, Carlton Williams, Director of the Office of Clean and Green Initiatives stopped by Good Day Fox 29 with Mike and Alex and said 1,000 projects registered for the single-day clean-up event. Mr. Williams said this year’s Spring Clean-up had the most sign-ups in the 16-year history.

On April 4, 2024, I learned about Rebuild Philadelphia's paid training and partnership with DC 21’s Finishing Trades Union when I attended their last mandatory Zoom session with over 60 participants. I’m happy to report that most of the attendees were young people.

Temple University is hosting two pre-job fair prep sessions on April 9th and April 17th to help formerly incarcerated citizens get a job and other resources. April 19th Temple University is hosting its 1st Annual Reentry Job Fair. In preparation, Temple University's Office of Community Affairs announced they will have two free Job Fair orientation sessions to help formerly incarcerated citizens prepare to network and interview with reentry-friendly employers.

LIHEAP stands for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) it's a grant that helps low-income families pay their heating bills. Families that are in danger of having their gas heat from being shut off may be eligible for a LIHEAP crisis grant.
