Sentinel school safety system launched for Texas schools
HOUSTON - Sentinel, an innovative and comprehensive safety system aimed at enhancing the security of students, faculty, and staff in schools across Texas was officially launched in the state, according to Governor Greg Abbott. Provided by the Texas Education Agency's (TEA) Office of School Safety and Security, Sentinel is available to all Texas schools at no cost.

Brown Convention Center from 8 am to 2 pm. This event is dedicated to supporting elementary school students and their families who are facing financial challenges. We will be giving away 25,000 backpacks filled with school supplies and providing food and produce, courtesy of Houston Food Bank. Houston Christian University Denied Motion to Intervene in NCAA Antitrust Case
US District Court Judge Claudia Wilken denied Houston Christian University’s motion to intervene in the ongoing antitrust case, House v. NCAA, as reported by Sportico. Judge Wilken concluded that the university did not sufficiently demonstrate an inability to protect its interests without joining the case. She also noted that the university’s delayed motion, filed after a prolonged period, was a significant factor in her decision.

College students often bond by sharing some of the most intimate details of their lives, whether during late night car rides or dorm gossip sessions. The Rice Purity Test helps facilitate these conversations and is a rite of passage for many young people. Last Saturday, several Pasadena ISD bilingual and multilingual high school students spent a week at Rice University’s Tapia STEM Camp. During this immersive experience, they delved into various STEM skills and processes. The last day culminated with participants presenting their own college admissions processes and carbon capture and storage graphs. Houston teachers get firsthand education about Israel on Federation trip in Israel
In the middle of June, when many teachers are enjoying their summer break away from school, students and everything remotely resembling studies, a group of Houston educators boarded flights to Israel for 12 days of intensive experiential learning.
