Photo/Brian Smith Jacksboro’s softball team continued its unbeaten March through District 7-3A with wins over Bowie and Vernon last week. The Ti geret tes opened with a 20-2 road win Monday, March 11 over Bowie. The Purple pounded out a season high 25 hits, 10 for extra bases, and took advantage of five Lady Rabbit errors. Jacksboro got out to a 1-0 first inning lead The visitors broke the game open with seven second inning runs and added three more in the third for an 11-1 lead. Jacksboro finished strong with four runs in the fourth and five more in the fifth to end the scoring and game on 10-run mercy rule. Emma Gray and Kylie Tullous led the hit parade by each going 4-5 at the plate. Rylee Mathis, Maddy Morgan, Lily Perez and Rylee Bennett each had three hits. Shelby Seaberry and Brooke Reaves came through with two hits each. Mathis had four RBIs in the game with Perez adding three. Gray, Tullous and Bennett had two RBIs each. Seaberry got the win in the circle, scattering five hits with no walks. In the Tuesday, March 12 game with Vernon,BrookeReaves fired a no-hitter in the circle and helped the Tigerettes stay perfect with a 17-0, four inning victory. Jacksboro goes to 4-0 in the loop and 19-3 overall. Reaves came within a single walk of firing a perfect game. She struck out seven. The hostesses scored five runs in the first, two in the second and five in each of the last two frames. A 14-hit attack was led by Kylie Tullous with three hits, Mathis and Seaberry each had two hits with Gray, Reaves, Brailyn Tullous, Morgan, Charlie Phariss, Bella Nail and Bennett each had one hit.
